This course introduces the student to management and safety in the histology laboratory, as well as basic principle and procedures such as operation of the light microscope in examining tissue specimens, tissue processing and fixation procedures, and operations of the pathology gross room. Laboratory math will also be presented as it applies to the histology laboratory.
