In this course, students will prepare for college level reading assignments through comprehension building exercises and application of reading strategies, important for increasing reading speed and fluency. Students will also work on increasing their vocabulary through practice exercises and the study of roots, affixes, idioms, collocations, and dictionary skills. In addition, students will learn research skills and become more familiar with the library and on-line research tools
