This course is an introduction to clinical dental hygiene practice, which integrates clinical skills, theory, and interpersonal skills through a variety of learning experiences. The student is prepared both didactically and clinically for a direct role in the provision of oral health services. Prerequisites: BIO 103. Co-requisites: AHS 121, DE 131 and 150 and DH 170. Student must have current CPR certification, Health Clearance and proof of medical insurance. Purchase of instrument kit and uniforms are necessary for participation in this class.
