In this course students will develop design skills for residential spaces. Initial studio exploration focuses on the principles of design which include, but are not limited to scale, proportion, balance, rhythm, emphasis, and harmony. Focus will be placed on the arrangement of space, furniture planning, color psychology and the selection of appropriate finishes and materials within an interior environment. Corequisite: DES 107.
