Description This course examines the responsibilities of personnel managers and managers who perform the human resource management functions in Veterinary/Lab Animal facilities. Course content includes: work analysis, staffing, training, and development, appraisal, compensation, maintenance, client communication, and motivation. Contemporary topics are employee recognition, employee assistance programs, professional burnout, and sexual harassment as they relate to these unique areas. Prerequisite: Enrollment in the Veterinary Technology Program and upper division standing or approval of the Director.
