Description:
Survey of distributions and life histories of North American big game species. Productivity, food habits, economic significance and management will be examined. Will include a study of current management strategies employed on deer farms in North America with a focus on the Texas deer industry and impacts on traditional wildlife management. Credit for both ANSC 4326 and WLDM 4326 will not be awarded. Prerequisites: AGRI 2330 and 8 hours of advanced ANSC/WLDM or approval of the department head. Modest cost of field trips will be borne by the student.
