Description:
An introduction to the study of genetics including the nature of genetic material, mechanisms of gene expression and inheritance, population genetics and evolution, and application of modern DNA technology. Laboratory experiments will emphasize the use of modern genetic techniques. Genetic data will be generated, analyzed, and interpreted. Prerequisite: 8 hours of BIOL with a grade of C or higher and CHEM 1411 or higher. Lab fee $30.
