An introduction to the study of birds, their structure, physiology, reproduction, ecology and behavior. Relates gamebird production and biology to basic ornithological principles. Laboratory covers production of game birds from conception and incubation to marketing and sales. Gamebirds studied are various quail, pheasant, partridge, and wild turkey species. Prerequisites: Sophomore classification or approval of the department head.
