An introduction to the theory, history, and principles of public relations programs for profit and nonprofit organizations, including fundraising, media relations, crisis management, ethics, social responsibility, management counseling, campaign basics, professionalism, and related topics. Teamwork with nonprofit clients is an integral part of the course, as is portfolio development. Prerequisites: C or better in COMM 2302 and 2320, and in PHIL 3301 or MGMT 4307.
