This workshop is designed to provide athletic trainers and other allied health professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to incorporate pre-event, post-event and specialty sports massage techniques into clinical practice. The indications and contraindications for use of sports and exercise massage techniques are demonstrated, practiced and assessed. Hands-on activities will focus primarily on the skills needed to appropriately execute pre-event ("quick") or "post-event" (slow) massage techniques.
