Study of style, structure, and interpretation of representative choral works, with special emphasis upon analytical process while determining appropriate performance practices as related to primary sources. Studies in this section shall be illustrated through the development of sacred choral repertoire best exemplified by the Mass and the motet. Repertoire studied changes each semester offered. RESTRICTIONS: Requires permission of instructor. May be repeated once for credit.
