Description:
-
In conjunction with Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania (GSWPA), this course includes service to local area middle and high schools with the goal of mentoring young women. RMU students who take part in this course will be trained by GSWPA to create, provide, and support curriculum relevant to the lives of the young women in the program as well as provide role models of success and future possibilities through their own interactions. The course includes pre-approved volunteer experience. Students will reflect upon their experience, its current and future impact, and the implication for life-long learning through the writing of reflection papers, threaded discussions, and a final paper.
