This course will provide education candidates with experiences related to assessment. This will include the selection of assessment methods appropriate to each discipline in the elementary school. The students will practice accurate and ethical interpretation and communication of data from assessment (e.g. standardized test results) as they integrate the information into their instructional plans. The students will develop effective ways to conduct summative, formative, diagnostic, and benchmark assessments. Content will include both traditional and alternative assessment procedures, including performance-based assessment. Prerequisite: ECED2100 or Concurrent
