Students in this course will develop the skills necessary to be easily heard and immediately understood in any performance situation: theatrical, speech, or business. Students will adhere to acceptable practices of conversational English and overcome regional inflections and idiosyncratic vocal habits. The students will increase their vocal flexibility, attention to nuance, and articulation precision by applying a scoring technique for Spoken english drawn from The International Phonetic Alphabet.
