Examines a variety of research designs applicable to mathematics education, including teaching experiments, classroom research, clinical studies, and mathematical modeling. Evaluates mathematics assessments and instrumentation and considers the role of assessments nationally and internationally. Provides experience in conceptualizing a research project. Prerequisites: TEAL 7551 and 7555; admission to the PhD or EdD Program in the School of Teacher Education and Leadership.
