This course is devoted to the development of an active command of the spoken language. Emphasis on the most difficult points of usage in the French language such as verb tenses, use of the subjunctive, problem words, subject/adjective agreement, and idiomatic expressions. Class discussions are all in French. Students are expected to achieve a high level of oral proficiency in order to fulfill the course requirement. Course is required of all French majors and minors. Prerequisites: FRE 204 or approval of the Department Chairperson. Offered upon sufficient enrollment. 3 credits
