The student will learn capital expenditure project evaluation, allocation and management of capital assets and how to calculate rates of return as well as cost of capital. Also studied will be the impact of capital budgeting decisions on the dept-to-equity balance, long-term profit planning, and the impact of these decisions on shareholder wealth. Prerequisite: FIN 371 or permission of department chair. Offered spring, alternate years. 3 credits
