This course offers first-year and sophomore students an experiential introduction to the Cabrinian "Education of the Heart." Students explore connections between their individual gifts and services to others through (1) reflection on the thought of religious and secular thinkers (St. Frances Cabrini, the Dalai Lama, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert Coles) on love, compassion and service; (2) practical training in a field of human need (homelessness, illiteracy, disability, hunger); and (3) related field service. 1 credit
