Social Work Practice III: Social Work with Communities and Organizations focuses on generalist social work practice with organizations and communities, inclusive of diverse and global perspectives. Special emphasis is placed on the role of social workers engaged in empowerment and emancipatory frameworks with communities and groups who experience social and economic injustice and structural oppression. Students will explore a wide range of community-based strategies, models and actions directed at system and social change efforts. Prerequisites: 'C-' or better in SW 3110 AND Full major status in Social Work
