Description:

EAM 763. Superintendent Practicum Field Experience II. 3(3,0). This course is designed for students who are completing coursework leading to the Doctor Of Education (Ed. D.) degree and superintedent certification, and students seeking Education Specialist (Ed. S.) degree who want the superintendent certification option (The course option is an addition - 3 credit hours - to the regular ED. S. program of study). Students will engage in a full semester internship under a qualified district superintendent. Qualified is defined as a superintendent with at least three (3) years' administrative experience and has lead districts that meet state student achievement standards. Students will engage in field-based learning that addresses the ELCC standards on administrative leadership at the district level. Students must receive a grade of "S" to receive course credit. Prinicipal certification is required for EAM 761 and EAM 763, and PRAXIS scores or SDE certificates must be provided to the instructor of record.
