This course blends the theory and practice of social science writing in order to teach students how to move from the first draft to the final draft of term papers, theses, dissertations, and articles. The primary skill taught is self-editing --appraising one's work from the outside. The goal is to learn how to write for publication, drawing from postmodern perspectives on writing. Prerequisite: SOCI 1301 or permission of instructor.
