The second of five required core courses in Biology. It serves to introduce the student to the central role of evolution in the study of life and how living organisms interact witht the enviorment. The course also examines the natural history of life on Earth and the full range of living organisms, The course consist of lecture, recitation and labortary components. A grade of "C" or better is required in this course in order to proceed to BIOL 215. Four credits.
