Public Sector Economics analyzes the theoretical justification for the public sector including topics such as the provision of public goods, externalities, regulation, taxation, and expenditure behavior. The subject of the course analyzes the incentives of voters and political agents in making collective decisions. The current fiscal environment of federal, state, and local governments is analyzed as well. Prerequisite: ECON 3303 with a grade of C or better.
