Introduction to the concepts of holistic health assessment of clients across the lifespan. Students develop assessment skills for the collection of subjective and objective data. Concepts, models and theories of health promotion, disease and injury prevention will be introduced. One credit is experiential learning in the nursing simulation laboratory. (Prerequisites: All required 100 and 200 level science courses, NUR 200; co-requisite: NUR 202) 3 credits of lecture, 1 credit (average of 2 hours per week) of simulation laboratory.
