Students gain an understanding of ethical thinking in music therapy, focused on clinical practice, supervision and research. Students develop a working knowledge of AMTA and CBMT ethics and competency guidelines, discuss case examples, and develop critical thinking skills. Students also develop an understanding of HIPAA, professional relationships, confidentiality, and the relationship between education, training, clinical competence, and ethical practice. (Prerequisite: MTR 200)
