This course covers Money laundering as described in Title 18 USC ยงยง 1956, 1957 and refers to the process of concealing the source of illegally obtained money. The various sophisticated methods by which money may be laundered and the investigative methods utilized to uncover those schemes are identified. Prerequisite: CRMJ 150 and Junior status Course Objectives (1) Employ a net worth investigative technique to determine income from illegal sources (2) Compare and contrast national and international banking procedures (3) Define the elements of 18 USC 1956 and U.S. Patriot Act 2001 (4) Explain the purpose and use of each of the three indirect methods of proof, as a law enforcement tool
