This course introduces patterns of restrictive lung disease. Topics include pneumonias, fibrotic lung disease, pulmonary neoplasms, disorders of pulmonary circulation, diseases of the pleura and thoracic wall, neuromuscular disease, aspiration, trauma, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Care assessment and decisions are emphasized. This course is part of the College's competitive admissions programs and is therefore excluded from the tuition free Senior Citizen Tuition Policy. Prerequisite: RCT 241
