The first in the MTP Studio series, bringing together the three elements of musical theatre that students have been studying separately: acting, singing, dancing, and music theory. In MTP Studio: Solo Song Interpretation, 1st Year MTP students apply acting, dance and vocal technique to solo songs within the context of the book musical, bringing to life fully staged songs and scenes. Throughout the semester, students also explore the art of solo performance within a concert or cabaret setting. Prerequisites: 'C' or better in (THEA 2320 AND Admission to Emphasis in Musical Theatre) OR Instructor Consent.
