This course will include a comprehensive analysis of the predominant music/dance rhythms and forms commonly used in the ballet technique class. The students will use about 45% of their class time in studio labs developing skills in musically using and communicating established music/dance rhythms and forms. It is expected that they will com to understand the relationship that applicable musical elements have with ballet technique and artistry. This should help them understand and apply these skills in their own ballet technique experience as well as in their role as a ballet pedagogue. Prerequisites: 'C-' or better in (BALLE 1500 AND Full Major status in the School of Dance) OR Department Consent
