Prerequisite: Junior standing or consent of Paralegal Studies DirectorTo provide students an introduction to the principles and sourceson international law regulating transactions among nations, and itsexpansion to non-stat actors (e.g. the private individual, internationalorganizations and transactional corporations), and the internationallaw legal process. Students will study the mechanisms for enforcinginternational law and resolving international disputes, includinginternational courts and tribunals, and centers of arbitration andmediation. Additionally the course introduces students to selectedsubstantive areas of international law, to include the law of the sea,human rights, and international criminal law.
