The economic challenges to the provision and maintenanceof a level of global security that is conducive to the growth,integration, and development of the world economy will be studied inthis course. Theoretical and empirical models that help us understandthe dynamics of global conflict process, the cost of conflict, issues inconflict management, and the mechanics of global security provisionwill be investigated. Important policy issues facing governments andinternational organizations that undertake to enhance internationalsecurity will also be covered.
