This course is a study of the concepts and skills related to general patient assessment, initial management of life threatening emergencies, airway management, pulmonary ventilation and oxygen administration, the pathophysiology of shock and treatment modalities for the shock syndrome, and pharmacological actions of groups of drugs and fluids.
