Complements the genetics topics covered in the Microbial Genetics lecture. These topics are important at practical levels for molecular and genetics studies. The laboratory is used to teach basic cloning techniques, the basis of blue/white screening, isolation of mutants, calculation of mutation rate, as well as gene regulation. Preq or concurrent enrollment: MICR 4150.
