Description:

Continued instruction in composition, building on skills introduced in ENGL U101. Attention is given to writing for specific audiences, reading and analyzing challenging texts, and synthesizing academic sources in writing. For students whose advisement testing or ENGL U101 instructor indicates a need for more intensive study, English U102L is recommended to provide supplemental instruction and practice in writing. Prerequisite: ENGL U101.
