Upper-intermediate to advanced-level music theory topics such as form extended chords, chromatic theory, and irregular meters, with related musicianship skills (e.g., sight-reading, ear training, etc.) also applied to the student's primary instrument. Concurrent enrollment in applied lessons and an ensemble is highly recommended. The repertoire includes classical and commercial styles. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in MUSC U215 and MUSC U215L; or consent of instructor. Corequisite: MUSC U216L or consent of instructor.
