Description:

(Prereq: Departmental permission, 12 hours of biology creditl) An independent study course in which students will propose and complete a research project. This course is intended for junior or senior biology majors. In order to successfully complete this course students must: actively participate in lab or field activities (to include regular meetings with their mentor), produce a written or oral report of results, and prepare a formal proposal for their Senior Research project (unless taken after completion of the Senior Research requirement). This course may be repeated for a maximum of 6 hours of credit, three of which may be used towards the biology major. Contract required.
