Description:
Practical laboratory experience in biological subjects is provided in this course. Through these experiences, students learn and use laboratory tools. They also are taught to apply scientific method, conduct data collection, and critically evaluate those data. In addition, students examine both models of living systems as well as living and preserved specimens. Although concomitant with the lecture, BIO 115, this course provides opportunities to cover materials that are not or cannot be addressed in the lecture. Concurrent with BIO 115.
