This course focuses on teaching and training students to be able to describe and apply the appropriate actions to manage and administrate the Information Systems in a secure manner, as well as be able to perform the comprehensive multidiscipline assessment of the technical and non-technical security features of an information system. Outlines the principles of administration and management of security of enterprise information systems and networks. Principles and tools related to intrusion detection systems, vulnerability analysis, anomaly detection, computer forensics, application logging, auditing and data management, risk management, contingency planning and incident handling, digital immune systems, and alarms and responses. Security standards, evaluation and certification process; security planning, ethical and legal issues in information; privacy, traceability and cyber-evidence. Topical review and discussion on current trends in CNSS 4012 standard. Prerequisite(s): CIM 411, with a minimum grade of C, or permission of instructor.
