This course is designed to provide a theoretical basis for the beginning practitioner in the care of a client with multi-system failure. It will assist the student in the application of cognitive skills that enable her/him to use appropriate judgment in establishment of priorities of care, the rapid formation of valid decisions, and the accurate evaluation of client outcomes. The student will have the opportunity to apply theory to practice while working with clinical specialists in a critical care setting of their choosing. OPEN TO SENIOR LEVEL NURSING MAJORS ONLY.
