This course provides a basic foundation in leadership and management needed by the practicing professional nurse. The philosophy underlying the curse content and process is wholistic within an open system framework. Learners will be sensitized to a participative style of leadership and management that recognizes and respects the rights and needs of all people in nursing leadership-management situations. The relationship between the study of leadership and management and the current and projected changes in nursing will be studied for relevancy and applicability. Open to all nursing major students and RNs.
