A systematic study of the orchestra, starting with the ranges, timbres, idisyncrasies, capabilities and extended techniques of orchestral instruments, and continuing onto developing orchestral writing technique, exploring the creative aspect of orchestration as an inherent part of the compositional process. Class projects will be performed by the College orchestra.
