Prerequisite: Spanish202, 220 , four years of high school Spanish, or placement with astrong background in Spanish. Not intended for native or heritage speakers ofSpanish. Native speakers are students born in another country who receivedsome formal education in another language before coming to the United States;heritage speakers are students usually born in the United States who have learnedSpanish in their home environment but have little or no formal training in the language.
