Prerequisite: departmental permission and FRE 204 or equivalent or placement test. Advanced study of French culture and civilization, for a period of at least four weeks in France under the supervision of Foreign Language department faculty. A paper or research project evaluated by a departmental committee and/or examination administered by the department are required. Course taken in conjunction with FRE 206 or 499. 3 credits.
