Prerequisite: EDU 572 and departmental permission. This course involves pre-service teachers in investigating how children "know" and "come to know". Concepts in social knowledge, physical knowledge, logico-mathematical knowledge, and artistic knowledge are explored through interviews with children, case studies in teaching, and small group laboratory teaching experiences. 2 credits
