Prerequisite: ART 105. Sources and forms of contemporary painting, sculpture, architecture and related arts, from the mid-nineteenth century to the present. The movements of the early twentieth century in European painting are studied as to their influence on the painting of this country. The emergence, spread and character of modern architecture are discussed. 3 credits.
