Prerequisites: CMD 530 and department permission. Management of adults with functional residual hearing. Emphasis is on development and maintenance of aural-oral communication through amplification, auditory training, speechreading and speech and language intervention and use of assistive listening devices. Current research and theory in aural-oral rehabilitation, education and counseling techniques are presented. Scheduled alternate summers. 3 credits
