ART 206 - Introduction to Film Photography

Study in film photography with an emphasis on the rudimentary technical, conceptual and communicative characteristics of B&W film photography as it evolves from traditional art. Learning will include lectures, demonstrations, discussions, critiques and laboratory work. Each student is required to have a film camera with manual functions meeting the approval of instructor. ART 207. Drawing II (3) Four hours per week. Prerequisite: ART 107. Further exploration of contemporary approaches to drawing, stressing the use of mixed materials for greater versatility of expressive ideas.
