Examination of programs and policies in areas such as health care, technology, social insurance, welfare and income redistribution, child care and education, and transportation. Examination of the tax system, fiscal federalism, and state and local government revenue and expenditure patterns. Online information resources are used to locate and assess policy analyses and analyze expenditures and revenues for all levels of government.. Prerequisite: ECON 201 or 202.
