This lecture course provides a comprehensive approach to the concepts of biotechnology both in a historical and current context. It will take the students through the basic principles of genomics proteomics with DNA protein structure function. It will emphasize in the molecular biology aspects of genetic engineering and recombinant DNA technology. Ethical, legal, social concerns and implications of biotechnology will also be addressed.
