This course of study outlines the sequence of learning activities to help you develop competence in the subject area of professionalism for the ELL teacher and leader. This includes issues of program development, ethics, engagement in professional organizations, being a resource for other teachers and paraprofessionals, and becoming an advocate for parents and ELL students. Your competence will be assessed as you complete a series of performance tasks. This course of study may take up to five weeks to complete depending on your educational background, work experience, and the time that you are able to dedicate to your studies.
